Booking an appointment should be as simple as telling someone what you need. With the Looms Voice Booking beta, it now is. Open the app, tap the microphone, say something like 'I need to see a cardiologist next week in the morning' — and Looms will find matching availability and walk you through confirmation.
How it works
Voice input is transcribed and processed by Ask Looms, which extracts the key booking parameters: specialty or doctor name, preferred timing, appointment type and any relevant clinical context you mention. The system then queries real-time availability and presents the best matching slots.
If the AI needs clarification — for example, if you named a specialty with multiple sub-specialties available — it asks a targeted follow-up question rather than presenting an overwhelming list.
Languages supported
The beta supports Arabic and English, with dialect recognition for Gulf Arabic. Hindi and Urdu support is planned for the next release.
Participating in the beta
Voice booking is available to all Looms users on iOS and Android from today. Tap the microphone icon on the Appointments screen to try it. We're actively collecting feedback — use the 'Rate this booking' prompt after each voice-assisted appointment to help us improve.
