Terms of Service

Last updated: June 16, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Looms. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Looms (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.

2. The Service

Looms is a platform for storing, organizing, and verifying medical records. It allows patients to keep their health documents in one place and allows medical centers to issue authenticated prescriptions, sick leave certificates, and lab results with QR-based verification.

3. Accounts and Roles

To use most features you must create an account. The Service supports three account types: Patients (individuals), Medical Centers, and Administrators. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. Medical Center accounts must represent a legitimate healthcare facility.

4. Medical Disclaimer

Looms is a records management and verification tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. AI-generated summaries and insights are for informational purposes only and must never replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of your physician regarding any medical condition.

5. Document Issuance and Verification

Medical Centers are solely responsible for the accuracy and legitimacy of any prescription, sick leave certificate, or lab result they issue through the Service. QR verification confirms that a document was issued through Looms and has not been altered; it does not validate the underlying clinical decision.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent medical documents.
  • Access or attempt to access another user's records without authorization.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the security of the Service.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by Looms and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the records and content you upload, and you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the Service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or use the Service in a way that could harm Looms or other users. You may close your account at any time from your settings.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Looms is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
