The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention published its National Digital Health Strategy earlier this year, setting out a vision for a connected, patient-centred health system by 2030. Looms has formally aligned its product roadmap with the strategy's key priorities — not as a marketing exercise, but as a substantive commitment that will shape what we build and when.

Key alignment areas

The National Strategy identifies five digital health priorities. Our alignment with each:

  • Patient-held records: core to Looms' mission — we are already delivering this
  • Interoperability: our QR verification system and open API are designed for cross-platform sharing; FHIR compliance is on our 2026 roadmap
  • AI for clinical decision support: Ask Looms analysis features align with the strategy's goal of AI-augmented care
  • Digital identity and consent: our consent management system already reflects the data ownership principles in the strategy
  • Health data analytics: our national and clinic-level reporting capabilities support the strategy's population health analytics goals

Formal engagement

Looms has established a formal working group with the Ministry of Health to share platform learnings and provide input on the technical standards being developed under the strategy. We will publish updates from this engagement on a quarterly basis.
