Telemedicine has been the most requested feature from both patients and clinics since Looms launched. Today we're sharing our detailed roadmap — what we're building, why we've taken the time to do it properly and when you can expect it.
Why we waited
Telemedicine is easy to build badly. A video call bolted onto a booking system is not telemedicine — it's video calling with an appointment attached. We wanted to build something that genuinely improves the consultation experience: a pre-visit AI summary that prepares the doctor, an in-call record review tool, and a post-visit note system that updates the patient's record automatically.
What's coming
The Looms Telemedicine suite will include three integrated components:
- Pre-visit: AI-generated consultation brief for the doctor, drawn from the patient's Looms record
- In-call: shared screen view of the patient's record, prescription issuance and referral generation during the call
- Post-visit: AI-assisted consultation note drafted from the call, reviewed and signed by the doctor before being issued to the patient's record
Timeline
Private beta with selected clinic partners begins in November 2025. Public launch is targeted for Q1 2026. Clinics that want to join the beta can apply through the clinic administrator settings panel.
