Building a roster
Clinic administrators define shift patterns for each staff member — fixed weekly schedules, rotating patterns or custom day-by-day configurations. Doctor availability, once defined in the scheduling module, automatically controls which time slots are displayed to patients in the booking calendar.
Leave requests are submitted through the same module. When a leave request is approved, the affected time slots are automatically closed in the booking calendar and the clinic administrator is alerted if existing appointments need to be rescheduled.
Coverage alerts
The system flags potential coverage gaps — days where approved leave would leave a specialty without any available provider — giving administrators time to arrange cover before patients are affected.
