Radiology is one of the most important and most poorly managed categories of health record. Scan results are produced at one facility, often on a CD or paper report, and then presented at another — sometimes weeks later, sometimes having been lost, sometimes in a format the receiving doctor can barely read. Looms now provides a dedicated radiology section where patients can store, organise and share every imaging report they have.
Uploading radiology records
Any radiology report — MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, PET scan, nuclear medicine — can be uploaded as a PDF, image or scanned document. A guided upload flow prompts for the scan type, body region, date and issuing facility, ensuring records are correctly labelled and easily searchable.
AI analysis of uploaded reports
Once uploaded, Ask Looms can analyse the text of the report and provide a plain-language summary of key findings. The AI identifies the principal findings, any incidental findings noted by the radiologist, and any recommendations for follow-up imaging or clinical review.
Clinic-issued radiology records
Clinics and imaging centers connected to Looms can issue radiology reports directly into a patient's account — with QR verification and the issuing center's logo embedded in the document. For patients receiving regular imaging as part of cancer monitoring or chronic disease management, this creates a timestamped, verified timeline of every scan.
