A blood test result is a number next to a reference range. Without context, it tells you almost nothing. The Looms Blood Test Reference Library provides that context — a free, publicly accessible guide to over 200 common blood and urine test markers, written in plain language for patients who want to understand what their results mean.
What each entry covers
Every entry in the reference library explains what the marker measures and why it matters clinically, the standard reference ranges used in GCC laboratories, what results above or below the reference range typically indicate, which conditions the marker is most commonly used to screen for or monitor, and whether factors like fasting, exercise or medication can affect the result.
Designed for use alongside your results
The reference library is integrated directly into the Looms lab analysis feature. When you view an AI analysis of your blood panel, markers outside your reference range link directly to their entry in the reference library. You can also search the library independently from the public website.
Clinical review
Every entry in the reference library is reviewed by a member of the Looms Clinical Advisory Board before publication and updated whenever the clinical guidelines it references are revised. The date of last review appears on each entry.
