We spent the last quarter of 2024 surveying our first 50,000 patients — not about satisfaction scores, but about behaviour. Did they change how they manage their health because of Looms? Did they go to appointments better prepared? Did they take their medications more consistently? The answers shaped our 2025 roadmap significantly.

What changed for patients

72% of survey respondents said they felt better informed about their health since joining Looms. 58% said they had shared a health record with a provider using the platform — and 41% of those said it meaningfully improved the quality of the consultation by eliminating questions the doctor had to ask from scratch.

34% reported improving their medication adherence as a result of the reminder system — a number that surprised us with its size and its implications.

What didn't change

Preventive care completion rates were not significantly better among Looms users in our beta cohort compared to the general population. This is the finding that drove the development of the Clinical Recall Engine — we concluded that reminders alone don't move preventive care numbers; what's needed is a proactive prompt from a trusted healthcare provider.

What patients asked for

The top five feature requests from the survey were: medication management, family health tracking, lab result trend charts, direct messaging with clinic staff, and the ability to share a document without sharing everything. All five are launching in 2025.
