The Looms 2025 Annual Digital Health Report draws on anonymised, aggregated data from over 700,000 patients and 350 clinics across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It is the most comprehensive picture of how GCC residents are engaging with digital health tools — and where the gaps remain.

Key findings

Digital health engagement increased substantially in 2025, but with meaningful differences across age groups, geographies and healthcare settings.

  • AI lab analysis was used by 62% of patients who uploaded a blood panel — a 3× increase from 2024
  • Medication adherence rates were 31% higher among patients using Looms reminders versus the WHO baseline for the region
  • Patients connected to a clinic through Looms attended 28% more follow-up appointments than the regional average
  • Record upload frequency was highest in Saudi Arabia among patients aged 35–55
  • Wait time reduction averaged 17 minutes per appointment at clinics using Smart Waitlist

Where the gaps remain

Digital health adoption among patients over 65 remains low, despite strong interest when the platform is introduced through a trusted healthcare provider. Language continues to be a barrier for non-Arabic, non-English speakers — a gap our multilingual roadmap is designed to address.
