Looms has welcomed three new members to its Clinical Advisory Board, bringing the board's total membership to nine senior clinicians and health policy experts. The new members join as Looms expands its AI capabilities and extends into new GCC markets — both areas where their expertise is particularly relevant.
New advisory board members
Dr. Khaled Al-Rashid is a consultant cardiologist at a leading Abu Dhabi hospital with a research focus on digital biomarkers and wearable-derived health data. He will advise on the clinical validity of Looms' vitals tracking and AI-generated cardiovascular risk insights.
Dr. Fatima Al-Zaabi is an endocrinologist and diabetes specialist with 15 years of experience managing Type 2 diabetes across the GCC population. She brings specific expertise in medication adherence and the use of digital tools to support chronic disease management.
Professor Amr Khalil is a health informatics specialist and former WHO consultant who has led digital health strategy projects in Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. He advises on interoperability, data standards and the regulatory landscape for health data across the MENA region.
Advisory board role
The advisory board reviews AI model outputs, clinical content across the public health library and any feature that intersects directly with clinical practice. Board members receive access to platform data under a strict confidentiality agreement and meet with the clinical product team quarterly.
