When 2025 started, Looms had 50 connected clinics, roughly 80,000 patients and a product that still had significant gaps. By December, we had 400 clinics, nearly one million patients and a platform that had been fundamentally transformed in almost every area. Here is what we built, what we learned and what we got wrong.
The products that defined 2025
Ten major feature launches shaped the year: AI lab analysis, Family Hub, vitals tracking, medication management, clinical recalls, care messaging, insurance eligibility checking, the marketing suite, document templates and the Finance module. Each started as a response to something patients or clinics asked for — and each became a platform that drove its own demand.
What we got wrong
The onboarding flow for new patients was too long for too long. We knew the data showed a 40% drop-off at step three but underestimated how much it was costing us in activation. The onboarding wizard, launched in November, cut that drop-off to 12% — something we should have prioritised earlier.
We also underinvested in clinic administrator training in the first half of the year. A great platform poorly adopted is still a poorly adopted platform. Our dedicated onboarding team, launched in Q3, made a material difference.
Into 2026
We head into 2026 with a clear roadmap, a team that has nearly tripled and a community of patients and clinics who have genuinely shaped what we've built. Thank you to everyone who has been part of that.
