2024 was Looms' first year as a public platform. We launched in July with ten clinics, no media coverage and a lot of uncertainty about whether the GCC market was ready for patient-held digital health records. The answer turned out to be yes — emphatically.

The numbers

By December 31st, we had 50,000 registered patients, 40 connected clinics across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, 1.2 million health record interactions and an NPS of 71 — higher than most consumer apps and, frankly, higher than we expected for a health platform in its first year.

What worked

The QR verification feature was our most used and most valued feature — clinics told us it saved significant time on patient queries about record authenticity. The AI lab analysis was our most shared feature — patients who received an AI explanation of their results shared their experience with an average of 2.3 other people.

What we're carrying into 2025

The biggest lesson of 2024 was that adoption is driven by trust, not technology. The clinics with the highest patient activation rates were those where the clinical staff actively introduced patients to the platform during appointments. In 2025, we're investing in clinical champion programmes to scale that behaviour across our growing network.
