Preventive care is systematically under-delivered — not because patients don't want it, but because no one reminds them when it's due. The Looms Clinical Recall Engine changes that dynamic, giving clinics a proactive tool to identify and re-engage patients who are overdue for screenings, follow-ups or annual reviews.

How recall rules work

Clinic administrators configure recall rules based on diagnosis, medication, appointment type or a combination. For example: 'All patients with a diabetes diagnosis who have not had an HbA1c test in the past three months.' The engine runs continuously and surfaces matching patients in a managed recall queue.

Patient notifications

When a patient enters the recall queue, Looms sends an automated, personalised notification — via push notification, email or SMS — explaining what they're due for and providing a direct booking link. The recall is marked resolved when the patient books the relevant appointment.

  • Automated notifications via push, email or SMS
  • Personalised messaging per recall type
  • Direct booking link in every notification
  • Automatic resolution when the appointment is booked

Reporting on recall effectiveness

Clinic administrators can track recall conversion rates — what percentage of recalled patients booked — in the Clinic 360 Analytics section. This data helps clinics refine their recall rules and notification timing over time.
