The Emergency Card is a QR code linked to a minimal, read-only view of your most critical health information — blood type, allergies, current medications and emergency contact. It can be scanned by anyone without a Looms account, making it useful in situations where you can't speak for yourself.

What the Emergency Card shows

  • Blood type
  • Known allergies (drug, food, environmental)
  • Active medications from your current prescriptions
  • Emergency contact name and phone number
  • Organ-donor status (if set in your profile)

Accessing your Emergency Card

  • Open Settings and find the Emergency Card section
  • Your QR code is displayed — you can screenshot it, print it, or save it as a PDF
  • Consider storing it in your phone's lock screen widget or printing it for your wallet

For family members

The Family Hub includes an Emergency Card for each family member you've added. If a family member can't speak in an emergency, you can pull up their card and show it to the treating team. For more on the Family Hub, see Managing family health profiles.

Keeping it up to date

The Emergency Card always reflects your current profile. Keep your allergies, medications and emergency contact current in Settings, and the card updates automatically — no need to reprint or reshare it.
