Step tracking in Looms helps you monitor daily physical activity over time. You can log steps manually or sync from a connected wearable.

Logging steps manually

  • Open Vitals Journal → + New reading → Steps
  • Enter your step count for the day
  • Add a date — defaults to today but can be backdated
  • Save

Setting a daily step goal

Open Health Goals → Step goal and enter your daily target. 10,000 steps is a commonly cited figure, but any increase from your baseline is beneficial. The goal appears as a reference line on your step chart.

The 7-day average on the chart is particularly useful — a single day's count is less meaningful than your typical weekly level.

Syncing from a device

If you have a Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin or similar device connected to Looms, step data may sync automatically. Go to Settings → Connected devices to configure your sync settings and check which metrics are being imported.
