Understanding what you share and with whom

Looms is built around the principle that your health data belongs to you. No one sees your records without your explicit action. This article explains how access works across the different roles in the platform.

What medical centers can see

A medical center can only see your data if you've followed them. Even then, they see only what's relevant to your care — appointment details, any records you share directly with them, and basic profile information. They cannot browse your full record.

What share links expose

A share link gives the recipient access to the specific records you selected — nothing else. They see the document and its metadata, but not your profile, other records or any other part of your account.

Revoking access

  • Share links — open Records, find the shared item and revoke the link
  • Center follows — unfollow a center to disconnect from them
  • Active sessions — go to Settings > Security to view and revoke sessions
