Prescriptions issued through Looms can be resent via email to any address — useful if your pharmacist needs a direct copy, or if you want to send it to a family member collecting your medication.
Resend a prescription
- Open Prescriptions and select the prescription you need to resend
- Tap the Resend button on the prescription detail page
- Enter the email address to send it to
- Confirm — the email is sent immediately with the prescription attached
Can the recipient verify it?
Yes. The resent prescription includes the same QR code as the original. Any pharmacist can scan it to confirm the prescription is genuine and unaltered. The Verify page also works for anyone without a scanner.
Prescription not showing a Resend button?
Only prescriptions issued by a medical center through Looms include the Resend option. Prescriptions you've uploaded yourself as a document don't have this feature — you can share them instead using the standard record share flow.
