The Appointment Prep tool in Looms helps you arrive at a specialist consultation with everything in order. Here's how to use it.
Using Appointment Prep
- Open the upcoming appointment from your Appointments list
- Tap Prepare for this appointment
- Write your key questions and symptoms in the notes field
- The AI assistant generates a summary of your relevant records — lab results, medications, radiology — relevant to this appointment type
- Review and edit the summary, then share it with the centre or print it to bring
What to prepare manually
- A list of all current medications, doses and start dates
- A timeline of relevant symptoms — when they started, how they've changed
- Any previous specialist letters or test results related to this referral
- Questions ranked in priority order — the most important first, in case time runs short
Sharing your prep with the centre
If the centre is connected to Looms, you can grant them access to your records directly from the Appointment Prep screen. Select the records you want to share and confirm. They'll see your records in their clinical view before your appointment starts.
