Children's health records tend to be fragmented across GPs, paediatricians, hospitals and schools. Looms' Family Hub lets you maintain a structured health profile for each child, so every vaccination, result and letter is in one place and ready when you need it.
Setting up a child's profile
- Open the Family Hub and tap Add member
- Enter your child's name, date of birth and relationship
- Add their blood type, any known allergies and their GP's contact details
- Set an emergency contact if it's different from yours
What to store for each child
- Vaccination record — every dose, date and batch number
- Paediatric letters and specialist reports
- Lab results — blood tests, allergy panels, growth measurements
- Imaging reports — if any X-rays, ultrasounds or MRIs have been done
- School medical forms — particularly useful for managing conditions like asthma or allergies in school
- A list of current medications
Sharing with a school or childminder
If a school nurse, childminder or sports coach needs to know about your child's allergies or medical conditions, you can share the relevant records directly from the Family Hub using a time-limited link. They don't need a Looms account to view it.
As your child grows up
When your child is old enough to manage their own health, they can create their own Looms account. At that point you can share the relevant records with them so their history carries forward rather than being lost.
