The sleep tracker in Looms lets you log nightly sleep duration and quality. Over time, it builds a picture of your sleep patterns that you can share with a GP or sleep specialist.
Logging a sleep entry
- Open Vitals Journal → + New reading → Sleep
- Enter your bedtime and wake time — Looms calculates duration automatically
- Rate sleep quality on a 1–5 scale (optional)
- Add a note for context: interrupted sleep, late caffeine, illness
- Save
Setting a sleep goal
Open Health Goals → Sleep goal and enter your target nightly hours. Most adults need 7–9 hours. The goal appears as a reference line on your sleep chart, making it easy to see how often you're reaching your target.
What to look for in the data
Consistent patterns — whether you reliably sleep 7 hours or routinely fall short — are more meaningful than individual nights. If you're sleeping less than 6 hours on most nights for more than two weeks, bring the chart to your GP. Short sleep is associated with increased cardiovascular risk, impaired immunity and reduced cognitive function.
