Setting reminders to repeat a lab test

When a lab result suggests a test should be repeated — either because a value was borderline, because your doctor recommends monitoring, or because the AI analysis suggests a follow-up interval — Looms lets you set a reminder so the repeat doesn't get overlooked.

Where the Remind Me option appears

After Looms analyses a lab result, AI recommendations appear below the result in the Lab Insights section. Where a recommendation suggests timing for a repeat test, a Remind me button appears alongside it. Tap it to set a reminder.

You can also set lab reminders manually from the Lab Reminders section in the Health Tracking menu.

Setting a reminder

  • Tap Remind me on the recommendation
  • Review the suggested timing — Looms pre-fills an interval based on the recommendation text (e.g., 'repeat in 3 months')
  • Adjust the date if your doctor has given you different instructions
  • Choose whether you want a one-time reminder or a recurring one
  • Tap Save

Getting notified

Looms sends an email reminder when the date arrives. Make sure your notification preferences allow health reminders — check Settings > Notifications to confirm email reminders are turned on.

The reminder tells you which test is due and links back to the original result and recommendation so you have context when you book your appointment.

Managing your lab reminders

All your lab reminders are listed in Health Tracking > Lab Reminders. From there you can see upcoming reminders, mark a reminder as completed (once you've had the test done), or delete a reminder if it's no longer relevant.

Completing a reminder doesn't delete the record — it marks the reminder as done so the list stays tidy.
