Following a medical center on Looms is the key step that unlocks the clinic-facing features: booking appointments, exchanging care messages, and receiving lab results and prescriptions directly into your record. This article explains how to connect and what changes once you do.
Finding a clinic
- Open the **Solutions** page or the **Book Appointment** flow
- Search for the clinic by name
- Tap the clinic's profile and select **Follow**
What following a clinic enables
- **Appointments** — you can book appointments directly through Looms with that clinic
- **Direct messaging** — send and receive messages through the Care Messages section
- **Issued documents** — the clinic can publish lab results, prescriptions, and medical reports directly to your Looms record
- **Care plans** — the clinic can assign structured care plans visible in your Health Tracking section
Privacy when you follow a clinic
Following a clinic gives them the ability to interact with you through Looms. It does not give them access to your full health record. They see only what they've issued to you, plus basic profile details needed for appointments. They cannot browse your records from other providers.
Unfollowing a clinic
You can unfollow a clinic at any time from their profile page. Once unfollowed, the clinic can no longer initiate new messages, appointments, or document issuance to your account. Previously received documents remain in your record.
