Looms supports English and Arabic throughout the platform — both the patient portal and the public website. You can switch language at any time without affecting your records. Regional settings control date format and unit display.
Switching language in the portal
- Open Settings from the sidebar or profile menu
- Scroll to Display and Preferences
- Under Language, select English or Arabic
- The portal reloads immediately in the selected language
- Your records, document titles and notes remain as you entered them — only the interface changes
Switching language on the public website
The Looms marketing website and help centre support Arabic and English. To switch, tap the globe icon in the top navigation bar and select your preferred language. The selection is saved in your browser for future visits.
Changing units and date format
- Height and weight can be displayed in metric (cm/kg) or imperial (ft-in/lb) — change in Settings > Display
- Blood glucose can be shown in mmol/L or mg/dL — also in Settings > Display
- Date format follows your device locale by default; override in Settings if needed
- Temperature in lab results is shown in the unit reported by the lab — Looms displays it as received
Syncing with the mobile app
Language and unit settings saved in the web portal sync to the Looms mobile app automatically the next time you open it, as long as you're signed in with the same account.
